  • Great concise show

Well packaged in a small bite format to concisely get you information on US Soccer from a very I formed host. I’ve come to dread the 1.5-2ht podcast pop up in my feed. I have the time and attention span, but much of that time is often filler. Not here; straight to business. Host is very knowledgeable about the game and all around life perspective which comes in handy for interviews. Thanks for the show!

  • Foul Language Not Accepted

Second podcast back, and we have to listen to foul language. Not exactly a gracious return. stopped listening after the word a-hole.

  • Paul Arriola

5 minutes in and one of the hosts defends Paul Arriola. 1 star and an unfollow. If a person thinks that Paul Arriola should be on the national team, then he obviously knows nothing about soccer.

  • A bit over the top

How exactly is Zach Steffen “competing” for the Champions League? It is great for his own personal development but he has not played a minute in the champions league and will not unless a freak injury occurs. Eventually he needs out of Man City in order to get the game time needed to help USMNT. A bit more realism would help.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

#186 - Soccer Meets America (w/ Alan Rothenberg)
Q: From an organizational standpoint, how did 1994 differ from the current World Cup preparation, and is there anything you'd do differently if you could?
If given control, he would have turned over domestic running to the Soccer Federation and provided more revenue opportunities for host cities, emphasizing a more federated, revenue-positive model similar to 1994 but adapted to today's landscape.
#186 - Soccer Meets America (w/ Alan Rothenberg)
Q: What do you hope fans take away from this docu-series about the history of American soccer?
The takeaway is about how far the sport has come since 1990, from a trailer in Colorado Springs to a national enterprise with a real infrastructure, bigger training sites, and growing revenue streams, and about recognizing the arc of growth that built the current landscape.
#184 - Shaq Moore speaks on his career and World Cup hopes
Q: What do you think the legacy of this World Cup could be for MLS and American soccer overall?
Aimed at growing the game, expanding eyes on MLS, and elevating the league so more top players want to play in the United States, ultimately bolstering the national teams.
#184 - Shaq Moore speaks on his career and World Cup hopes
Q: What was your experience like at the World Cup, and how does that shape your approach going forward toward the next roster decisions?
Surreal and proud to have minutes at the World Cup; it motivates me to stay ready and perform at a high level to earn consideration for the next roster.
#184 - Shaq Moore speaks on his career and World Cup hopes
Q: Shaq, first of all, I just want to start by, with your season thus far for FC Dallas. What do you think needs to happen for Dallas to continue to move up?
It's been a good season; we know we have things to improve on and we need to stay in the mix, winning key games while managing the balance of pressure and consistency as the season progresses.
