  • This podcast is “srsly” good

Great, highly polished content (I really appreciate the episodes on cars and public transportation) presented in a way reminiscent of ”Firesign Theatre”. Their humor is meaningful and fits the content. Highly, highly recommended.

361 – Why We’re Getting Poorer (w/ Cahal Moran)
Q: You discuss how economic models often miss the real world dynamics. Can you explain how that gap matters for policy and everyday life?
Models can mislead when they ignore power relations, institutions, and social contexts; acknowledging these factors can lead to more accurate assessments and policies that actually improve people's lives, like more targeted housing and anti-poverty measures.
Ep 344 – Donald Trump’s Elements of the Deal (w/ Jeffrey Epstein)
Q: Would you declassify the Epstein files?
Yeah, yeah, I would.

Q: If you were president, would you declassify the 9-11 files?
Yes, I would.
Library Socialism & The Irreducible Minimum (2019)
Q: What's your overarching view of library socialism?
We want to create a society that meets people's needs to the extent that we can prefigure that now by meeting people's needs as a tactic.
Library Socialism & The Irreducible Minimum (2019)
Q: Does that mean you're going to take my toothbrush and make us use communal toothbrushes spreading mouth diseases?
No, we won't be taking people's toothbrushes. There will be a buyback period mandatory in the long term.
