  • I miss the short clips

The short clips that were previously made available were a great way to get my Riders coverage. My listening schedule doesn’t allow for an entire show. So, I do zip through the whole episode to get to the goods.

  • I like the smaller pieces.

I like the 620 rebrand of the SportsCage in an effort to establish a new foundation. However, I just don’t listen to the daily show like I used to. Too many topics that don’t keep my attention with new hosts I don’t have a connection with. Which makes these segmented pieces of the show in podcast form valuable. I can pick what I want to listen to and ignore the rest.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The SportsCage - March 16th, 2026
Q: What was your mindset for the Pats game where Tabashnuik delivered those 50+ saves?
Taylor focused on one shot at a time, staying present and not getting fixated on past saves, which helped him anchor the team despite the tough overtime and shootout result.
The SportsCage - March 9th, 2026
Q: Back-to-back national championships—what does that mean to you personally and for your program?
Lisa Thomaidis explained that winning back-to-back national titles is a validation of the players' discipline, commitment, and the program's culture, highlighting the leadership of veteran players and the ability to sustain excellence across seasons.
The SportsCage - March 12th, 2026
Q: What big NFL futures did you consider for the season?
Baltimore and Buffalo were the top choices, with emphasis on Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen, reflecting expectations that both teams would improve and compete for the postseason.
The SportsCage - March 5th, 2026
Q: What's the big question about playoff game ceremonies?
The consensus among hosts and guests is that long pregame ceremonies before playoff games are counterproductive, draining energy and delaying the start of the game; many argue for shorter, punchier moments or skipping national anthems entirely in the regular season to keep the energy high.
The SportsCage - February 27th, 2026
Q: Do you see the Canucks moving players like Pedersen?
The Canucks are likely trying to move players but they are uncertain about the cultural implications of moving Pedersen.
