  • too many ads and Pierre McGuire complimenting Max Lapierre

Was fun until he started doing ads every five minutes or so. I know he has to make money but it’s ridiculous no other podcast is like this. It breaks up the flow. Do the ads all in a row at the start so we can skip them like we do anyway and move on already.

Also, Pierre complimenting Max Lapierre constantly is kind of weird and cringeworthy. Yeah he was a good hockey player. We get it.

  • Great guests

The guests are top notch and the podcast is worth tuning in for. The pod would be so much better if the host cut out the embarrassing rants and the annoying repetitive cadence of his diatribes. He’s too often a weather vane appealing to the lowest common denominator fan. When things go well he’s the loudest cheerleader and when they go poorly he hints things like: MSL isn’t cut out for the job or certain players should be given up on.

Three stars is me hoping he can elevate his game like the ... more

The Habs Have A Secret Weapon... | The Sick Podcast with Tony Marinaro July 8 2025

Demidov was a natural fit to get involved due to his new affiliation with Warrior Hockey and being new in the city, making it easy to bring him on for the event.
The Habs Have A Secret Weapon... | The Sick Podcast with Tony Marinaro July 8 2025
Q: What did you find out about LJ Mooney and why did he slide to the fourth round?
LJ Mooney slid to the fourth round mainly due to a serious knee injury that affected his mobility and because scouts were cautious about drafting smaller players who have had significant injuries. There was also a noticeable trend towards larger players after the Stanley Cup finals.

Cowan: Habs Should Trade BOTH 1st Round Picks! | The Sick Podcast with Tony Marinaro June 20 2025
Q: What bold prediction do you have for the Canadiens before free agency?
I think they're going to end up trading both their first round picks, but also now that the Stanley Cup final is over, it will be interesting to see if we see a trade in the next few days.
Where Does Patrik Laine Fit In The Habs Lineup? | The Sick Podcast with Tony Marinaro June 6 2025
Q: How does Patrik Laine's performance affect the Canadiens' roster plans?
Laine's performance is a mixed bag; while he contributed significantly to the team last season, concerns about his compete level and the need to free up salary cap space for new signings will influence roster decisions. The Canadiens may explore trade options to improve their flexibility for acquiring new players.
