  • A place to make you feel a bit happy

Yes us single childless spinsters do need a place to reflect about our lives and here is the place. I love Lucy’s enthusiasm about our circumstances as she is always uplifting . In my world none of my spinster friends are happy with how our lives turned out so it’s always nice to listen to a positive spin on being childless and single in middle age . I do however feel that Lucy tends to put down having children and a husband & I don’t think she does herself any favours by doing that.

  • Heart-warming

I recently found Lucy’s podcast and am so happy to add it to my feed and be catching up on some past episodes. I appreciate her candid insights. Even though I’m not officially a spinster myself, I’m often solo in my day-to-day and after listening to this I feel more at ease and able to celebrate the benefits of my situation. The I really appreciate Lucy challenging the strong norm that married motherhood is the best/only fulfilling/happy path. Her “solo date” ideas are great! This is too good t... more

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Oh my god I absolutely LOVE this podcast Lucy! It’s literally like listening to myself!!!! Slightly spooky if I’m honest 😂

I feel exactly the same way about being single and child free: both of which are circumstantial. My favourite answer to any question about my circumstances (so nosy!) is “Why do you ask?” because I like to question people’s ingrained bias towards pronatalism and other patriarchal principles 😬

Anyway, thank you so much for putting yourself out there and for taking the time ... more
