Excellent for practicing your listening skills, the vocabulary is repeated frequently in various ways. Also, similar sentence structures are then spoken slightly different with different vocabulary allowing you to widen your vocabulary. I’ve started from the start and I have listened to a few new episodes too!

Huge compilation of short stories, clearly spoken at slowish speed, with some faster sections now and then. New words are explained in Spanish so you get more listening practice. Dialogues are revisited with alternative phrases. Every few episodes is followed by a recap episode to reinforce what you learn. Huge volume of work in this series. Of course there’s also the transcripts, but for the most part any foreign words can be looked up as her enunciation is so clear.

I grow to like this more each time I listen. First of all Mercedes is highly intelligent, well read and clearly a warm and radiant personality. I find the extended length compared with rival podcasts both good for getting accustomed to listening to spoken Spanish and permitting of a fuller development of each issue.
