In a world where most of the media seems to convey that rap’s involvement and impact is ‘black and white’, this podcast is a reveal that rap’s impact is much more broad and deeper reaching.
It’s great to discover South Asians that have their hands in the making of popular rap music but also wonderful to hear stories from others that have been impacted by rap to the same extent that I have. Trippy how shared experiences can make you feel some kind of connection to a stranger.
This podcast reminds me of those hour long conversations I’ve had with my own friends on the artistry that goes into hip-hop. Every episode has been comforting, thought-provoking, and a great way to get new music recs
Fantastic host and intriguing interviews.
Every time I listen to this podcast I think about one of my creative projects I have yet to start. Listening to Akash converse about one of his biggest passions, reminds me to prioritize my passion projects as well. An informative and inspiring listen for anyone.
