I’m not going to walk into a 4 or 5 star hotel and drop a large tip from my first interaction in the hope I get special attention from the hotel staff for the rest of my stay.

I listened to this podcast to prepare for an upcoming solo trip to Mexico, and felt so disappointed and shocked at the amount of off-hand comments about the people, prices, and culture. The assumptions that Astrid makes about being at-risk because of her “long blonde hair” are eye-roll inducing.
