  • Do not!

Do not listen to that pod in a gym, under a heavy load. Often laughter explosions will mess up your reps. You will look silly crying and laughing at the same time.

  • While the content is ok, maybe you drift too much towards music sometimes, the delivery is terrible. I dont mind ads with your voice, but I had to listen to four AI generated sh**y ads from Amazon. Unsub.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Q&A 114 - The best yellow
Q: Which yellow is the best yellow for a yellow MX-5 or similar classic car?
They run through a spectrum of contenders, noting Mazda Sunburst Yellow as a strong, era-appropriate option, and discuss metallic yellows like Renault Liquid Yellow, along with retro-inspired shades such as Daytona Yellow from Ford/Capri-era models. They compare lighter, non-metallic yellows (Inca, Mimosa) to more vivid, punchy options (Bahama, Imola yellow), weighing how each would suit a retro British roadster and how visibility and scratches show on different shades. The hosts suggest considering the car's era, the paint's availability and cost, and whether a bold, period-appropriate yellow or a subtler tone would better preserve the vehicle's character and value.
Q&A 112 - Layby speedboat
Q: What practical or aspirational recommendations do you have for someone with around $60,000 to spend on a sports car?
They suggest considering mid-engined options like Porsche Boxster/Cayman variants, Alpine A110, or even a late-model V8 Audi R8 in the broader budget, emphasizing balancing reliability, enjoyment, and long-term value rather than chasing the newest badge.
Q&A 112 - Layby speedboat
Q: Is the GT3 price point justifiable given its performance and brand value, or is it primarily a status symbol?
They acknowledge the price is steep and partly a function of exclusivity and collectability, but insist the car's engineering and driving experience can still justify it for dedicated enthusiasts who value what Porsche builds.
Q&A 112 - Layby speedboat
Q: What are your thoughts on the new 911 GT3 SC, marketing genius or pointless grab for more money aimed at the must-have Porsche buyer?
The hosts view the GT3 SC as a mix of genuine performance ambition and market dynamics: some aspects feel cynical (limited runs and allocations) yet the product itself is executed with serious, high-quality engineering, and for true enthusiasts it remains compelling despite the high price.
Back To The Car Future
Q: What historic automotive event would you like to witness?
They imagine visiting significant moments like Group B rallying, classic launches, and early car reveals, prioritizing engineering innovations and the culture around those moments.
