  • The host should’ve asked some questions before starting this podcast

For a podcast all about asking questions the host didn’t bother to ask her self or anyone any questions about what she should have done before launching this podcast.

For example the cover art is truly horrendous.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Can AI Replace My Brain? I Ask a Child Prodigy
Q: Do you think AI will be able to hack the unpredictability of humans?
It could go either way; AI is inherently unpredictable, which can be both a strength and a risk, and ethical guidance will shape its stability and reliability.
Is Weather a Conspiracy? With Dancing Weatherman Nick Kosir
Q: What can a meteorologist tell me that my app can't?
Meteorologists provide context, model comparison, and human interpretation to translate raw forecast data into practical guidance, especially for near-term and event-specific weather.
Another Iran War? with Professor Vali Nasr (Revisiting Iran 101)
Q: Why did Iran pursue a strategy of forward defense through militias rather than direct incursions in neighboring countries?
Nasr explains that Iran's state structure and external vulnerabilities made it more practical to project influence through proxies where local states could be leveraged, rather than direct, territory-based operations.
Is It Time for An AI Boyfriend?
Q: What makes AI dating potentially better or worse than human dating?
The guests discuss both the emotional validation and the potential for enhanced connection AI can offer, as well as the risks of reduced trust, ethics concerns, and the threat to conventional human relationships, suggesting that AI could be a tool or a hazard depending on regulation, design, and user context.
Why Do Relationships Fail? with a Million Dollar Divorce Attorney
Q: What consistent mistake do smart people keep making in divorce?
They want their story to be validated and believe that the divorce will give them closure.
