  • Not really worth the listen now

I used to really look forward to this every week. But the banter is getting a little distracting and it feels like they don’t take this seriously anymore. Maybe I’m falling out with the cozy game community, but none of the games seem worth it anymore and the hosts don’t make me feel like it’s worth sticking around. I’ve moved onto other gaming podcasts that have real conversations about gaming. And Payton really seems like she needs to take an extended break from this. She seems uninterested. An... more

  • Don’t recommend it

I used to like this podcast but nowadays most of the time it feels they don’t even play the games they talk about. It’s all about superficial hype and no meaningful discussions. Plus, they can be really negative towards indie developers that have poured their hearts into their work, and I find that very inconsiderate.

  • Not for me

Slow Burn Podcast was tough to stick with. The hosts spend more time bragging about dev partnerships and free game keys than actually discussing cozy games. Payten repeatedly brings up her illness in a way that feels more like a plea for sympathy than genuine openness, and the trio often act as if they’re major creators when they really aren’t. If you want a cozy‑gaming podcast that’s warm, respectful, and actually focused on games, Tea With Honey is a far better choice.
