  • One of my favorite podcasts!

This is the podcast I look forward to most every week! I remember Kit and Krysta from when they did Nintendo Minute, during the lead up to the Switch 2 last year I re-discovered them and I’ve been listening weekly ever since. I love how positive they are yet also unafraid to share how they actually feel about things. They are entertaining, funny, and have trustworthy opinions. Best Nintendo podcast out there!

  • Delightfully positive

In an era where most podcasts feel like they are shouting at you or pushing an agenda the Kit and Krysta podcast feels like a casual conversation with friends.

  • Perspective

Krysta always whines and complains, privileged west coast attitude, when you get to play video games and talk about them for your income you'd think you'd be more grateful about it, I'm lucky to get a few games a year and not complain about them even if the majority doesn't like them, really discouraging to listen to, hope I get to a point in life one day where I get to play video games and whine about them on the internet and make money off people watching me do that.

  • Tough to Listen to Much of the Time

I used to love this pod but over the past year they’ve switched to using controversial headlines as clickbait, which I hate. Also, over time Krysta has developed this “contrarian/annoying little sister” persona, which I find to be like nails on a chalkboard.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

210: Pokemon’s 30th Anniversary is About to Change Everything
Q: What do you think they can do in this Pokemon Presents and kind of throughout the year to try and turn the tide on this group?
The main thing is this commitment to quality. I think that's where a lot of trust has been lost and degraded over the years. Everything that they show in this Presents needs to be like next level 10 out of 10 amazing.
205: Grant Kirkhope on How Banjo-Kazooie Got Into Super Smash Bros Ultimate
Q: What was your first reaction when you got either the email or the phone call of like, hey Banjo, he's coming?
I couldn't believe it, I was like, what? It's unbelievable. They said they loved it, it was just getting better and better.
202: Capcom is Winning the Switch 2 Generation
Q: Can you tell us about the Capcom strategy for the Switch 2?
Capcom's strategy involves releasing major titles in Q1 to avoid competition and ensure simultaneous launches across platforms.
200: Grading Nintendo’s 2025
Q: During your tenure at Nintendo, did you experience imposter syndrome and how did you overcome or accept it?
Neither host felt like an imposter in their roles, although they acknowledged feeling challenged in moments. It was suggested to question the reasons behind feelings of inadequacy and to focus on learning and growth.
199: Our Metroid Prime 4 First Impressions - Was It Worth the Wait?
Q: What do you think of the voice acting and character interactions so far?
The character of Samus seems to have taken a step backwards and is still too stoic, which leads to awkward interactions with more lively characters like Miles.
