  • Immmmmmmmmolators

Just got to say I love this pod, especially the event reviews. I was looking through the Imperial Agents new codex and it seems to me that you could technically run 12 immolators, 6 through the normal codex and another 6 through the Imperial Agents.

It’s a stupid idea but it’s legal! You can also an extra unit of battle sisters just to be silly.

I can’t stress how good this show is I love it!

  • Necron Blocks

Great podcast; just wanted to add that you already have the answer to the Necron warrior blocks. 10 Arcos and a Preacher eat through them. I ran 30 into multiple bricks and they shred Necron infantry.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Winds of Change
Q: What was the key turning point in Round 5 against a mirror match?
A patient approach with front-loaded Sacrosancts and strategic Overwatch/Engagement options allowed him to force a favorable endgame despite pressure, sealing the win.
Winds of Change
Q: How did you handle the tightrope moments versus aggressive opponents?
Matt emphasizes reps, disciplined engagement, and using the Sacrosancts as a core shield while the Repentia and Hospitallers pressure from multiple angles to deny primary without overextending.
Winds of Change
Q: What changes did you experiment with in the Champions of Faith list during the Windsor run?
He explains moving away from heavy Retributors to emphasize Dominions and Emulators, plus the Jump Pack Canoness, to boost mobility and dynamic threat projection.
Insidiant Innovation
Q: Do you favor taking all weapon upgrades or are some unnecessary for Insidiants?
The hosts agree that taking all upgrades is often the best approach to maximize melee output and versatility, but acknowledge that some setups could be overkill in certain matchups; the consensus is that the box benefits from full upgrade saturation to exploit its multiple attack options.
Insidiant Innovation
Q: Which attachment is best for Insidiants and why is Penitent Host most discussed?
While Ashley leans toward Hallowed Martyrs for damage support, the consensus is that Penitent Host is viable but less optimal than Hallowed or Champs; the choice depends on whether you want sustained rerolls and flexibility or raw melee power, with a tendency to prefer Hallowed for overall reliability.
