  • Read the codex BEFORE getting on the mic

I like y’all’s content, I was just let down that you put up a review with your first read through, specifically the sisters review. You skipped over major points, and it just felt like a waste of time. At least do your homework and read the codex before you record an episode.

  • Sound balancing issues

I love the content but the poor sound balancing has gotten to the point where I can’t get through an episode. Someone needs to go through and listen to the episodes before they get published because the guests are often way too quiet relative to the hosts and there’s way too big a gap between the quietest portions where someone is talking away from the mic and the very frequent booms of suddenly loud speaking. The jazz music is a cute idea but is played way too loud relative to the content and f... more

  • Informative & useful & engaging

Really great podcast to listen to. I’m new to the tournament scene and just listening to these guys and how they approach the game has improved my play and list building. Love the tournament recaps, my favourite episodes - the dulcet tones are an added bonus. Hope to see them as an opponent across the table soon.

Would be great if the lists they run were posted / linked somewhere within the episode descriptions!

  • Fantastic work

Love the insight the two of you bring. Your passion for the game, knowledge base, meta analysis are great, but it’s your promotion of positive play and friendly, accessible banter that keeps me, an aspiring top-table player, coming back. Keep up the amazing work and thanks for all the help.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

FIXED - Untap, upkeep, draw - 5 things top players do before moving a model.
Q: Do you think people are going to overcorrect to the Knight nerf?
I think they'll still find tools that play for the majority of the meta that can still be used against Knights.
A Double Guard & Eldar 5-0! | Fireside 40K
Q: Do you think Ynari will still be okay?
Ynari has a decent suite of stratagems and can still perform well against other factions.
69. The Meta, More Dakka & Emperor's Children | Fireside 40K
Q: What do you think about Ynari? Do you think there's any emergency changes that need to happen?
The reroll ones to hit stratagem is quite crucial in giving them strength. If I had my way, I would be extremely harsh with lethal intent and very kind to the rest of the codex.
LGT tier list - Ep. 61
Q: What should players keep in mind when attending LGT?
Pay attention to how well their army can adapt to the current meta and have a good grasp on their strategies.
LGT tier list - Ep. 61
Q: Can you break down the performance expectations for Sisters of Battle?
They should overperform given their ease of use and strong list-building capability this time around.
