  • Sorry…

    So Jonathan knows his stuff.

But ….. His speech is insidious, and he keeps revisiting various topics, even though the podcast's frequency suggests he's reporting news.

(And the speed is also too low)

Anyway: stick to the news and someone else to read it.

I've tried a few times now, but I'm giving up.

    All the best though.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

1069. Russia is GOOD at This (Unfortunately) - Combat Disinformation & Industrial Scale Lies!
Q: How has the Kremlin's approach to disinformation evolved with technology and social media?
It has shifted from traditional, ideologically driven propaganda to an industrial-scale, multi-voiced manipulation that uses fake outlets, bots, and sock puppets to spread narratives, sow division, and undermine trust in institutions.
1054. Craving for Leadership, Authority and Authenticity Revealed by King's Speech to Congress!
Q: What made King Charles's congressional speech so impactful across political divides?
The speakers argue it was the deft weaving of moral authority, Christian imagery, and a universally resonant call for security and shared values that allowed the King to cross partisan lines and rally support for Ukraine.
1057. Leaving Russia - Wartime Brain Drain that Stripped Russia of a Generation of Talent!
Q: Could I sort of map the territory there? Would you pigeonhole yourself at all in this ecosystem and describe your transition since the war began?
I'm a history nerd focused on the post-Soviet space, who arrived in Russia in 2006 and watched the country shift from hopeful modernization to a hardened security state; I now see my role as explaining how emigration, sanctions, and internal politics intersect, while acknowledging Ukraine's suffering and the differing paths Russians have taken in exile.
1050. The Parasite Empire is Burning Through the Resources that Sustain it's Aggression!
Q: How does the author compare Ukrainian and Russian political cultures in terms of accountability and identity?
Ukraine is described as having evolving accountability mechanisms and a dynamic public identity, while Russia is portrayed as having a static, imperial identity with limited pathways for democratic change.
1050. The Parasite Empire is Burning Through the Resources that Sustain it's Aggression!
Q: What are the key drivers behind Ukraine's strengthening position despite ongoing aggression?
Economic development, international support, and a vibrant cultural and civil society resurgence are reinforcing Ukraine's resilience and democratic trajectory.
