  • Excellent gaming podcast w/ hosts that feel like our old Friends (at the table). Some obscure & interesting stuff (do I want a squishy tamagotchi?). I personally need Austin to cover Invisible Inc - my fav game that no one will listen to me about... and a splitscreen stream of Big Walk would be chefs kiss

  • Smart critique; thoughtful analysis

Your favorite video game podcaster's favorite video game podcast. As podcast veterans with good taste, the Friends know how to talk games. Not your typical “hosts share one-by-one what they played this week with a basic summary and way too much detail on mechanics" style podcast. Considered discussion with perspectives informed by a wide range of disciplines. Appointment listening.

  • Loved learning about Baseball in Ep. 26

It's like Roundball but Americanized and professionalized, the adverserial Pitcher role in stead of throwing the ball up for a swing yourself is interesting, for the runner, or Batter in this case, it's kind of like Tennis or being a goalkeeper. Super interesting to learn about how the inclusion of machine/video assisted rulings are affecting the game, and i really got to thinking about how the "same" games differ in different leagues and levels of professionality. Love the show in general too!

  • This is crazy.

I am the greatest living fan of Austin Walkers video game podcasting. So much so that I follow giant bomb, nextlander, and remap because of him. I just had no idea that he was back doing a gaming podcast till he appeared on Gertsman podcast and Blood god pod. Time to subscribe to this damn friends at the table finally. A huge voice is filled in my life. Thanks for the return Austin!
