Really enjoyable to listen to! The Tablefriends’ approach to media criticism is both nuanced and clever while still being an honest and unpretentious look at their subjects. I really liked their Hunter x Hunter series and am really enjoying their Shyamalan season- both series on media I wouldn’t have given a second look but am now deeply invested in. Five stars, no notes, banger theme songs all around.
I listened up to the introduction of the Phantom Troupe with no prior experience with Hunter x Hunter. Y’all got me reading the manga to follow along, and now I’ve been waiting like 4 months for chapter 411, which is the middle of an arc so convoluted it makes Greed Island seem tame. I hate it, thank you <3

My favorite podcast about the media that excites me
Some great media crit. Smart analysis, good vibes. Looking at TV/movies other than the most recent shows lets them talk more about historical-ish context and critical reception in a way I appreciate. I believe in demon world.
