We've finally finished the mammoth Chimera Ant arc. It was long, ambitious, and fascinating. On the whole, I think it's some of the ... more

(though technically you can't trace my name back to a "mary" root (meredith is welsh in origin, the "mare" sound has an unrelated etymology), my name *was* specifically mentioned by two different people on the april 24th episode, so i am obligated to answer the call.)

I should have watched HxH a long time ago but it took these friends to get me there. As a massive Yu Yu fan I have to admit this is really something else. The best anime ever (probably). I couldn’t slow my roll to stay in line with the podcast. Honestly though, I was rewarded with seeing the Chinese Ants. Told myself I’d wait to listen to the podcast again until Chimera Ant was all done because I NEEEEEDED to have it accompany it for a rewatch.
Jack, you could have never known!
(I failed you once before when you called for January birthdays—never again.)
I would like to award this podcast with the highest honor I can bestow: it turned me around on the Chimera Ant Arc. I was a hater and non-believer, but with the cast’s powers of humor and insight I now see the truth. Chimera Ant Arc good. I absolutely cannot wait to hear their thoughts on the next arc (especially the part where we all stand up and cheer, which I have been waiting for since September 2023).

I have watched hunter x hunter several times and I absolutely adore this show and the way y’all can talk about every episode for an hour or more and it never gets boring. I thought you all were just being cynical about anime fans who miss the nuance and depth of the chimera ant arc and just wanna see the cute boys be heroes, but I met one last night. A bartender at a venue I played had a really cute tattoo of a blushing Killua and I commented on it. Their immediate response was “Thanks! I abso... more
Shameless, I confess: I missed the clemency month, and I am leaving this 5-star review immediately after finishing the penultimate Chimera Ant Arc episode of the podcast. I know full well that I am in breach of contract and, despite further leniency offered by our gracious hosts, choose to flaunt my brazen sin for all to witness.
My birth month? September. My name? Never uttered. My remorse? Gone.
