I’ve been a wrestling fan since I was a little shaver in 1976. Am listening to the NWA a world Champions and loving it! Have listened to a number of the other episodes as well and they take me back. Keep up the good work
Brian - your podcast is fantastic. Love your books.
Disappointed to hear that The Sheik’s nephew that just passed wanted paid for him to speak with you as you researched your book that was about his uncle.
Thanks for all of your efforts.
Some good episodes however the host who tells us every episode he worked for the WWE (yes we are aware) is a VInce apologist. Considering the amount of ex WWE staff he has on they have barely touched the surface and prefer remembering the good old days. Wouldn't be amazed if still getting a paycheck or pension from the WWE
One of the best shows out there. Don’t know why anyone wouldn’t love it. I’m just a young chap, so great to get to know about so many people from the business.

A long-running history-forward wrestling show that blends rigorous historical analysis with colorful backstage anecdotes. Episodes frequently center on era-defining title runs, notable promoters, archival practices, and the cultural evolution of wrestling as theater and sport, often weaving in personal memories and crossovers with pop culture. A standout throughline is deep archival awareness—photography, magazines, and publishing—as well as a knack for respectful, affable interviews with historians, journalists, and former promoters.
Noteworthy is the host's ability to curate conversations that span decades and territories, delivering both technical context and human stories. The mix of historians, photographers, and authors as guests ten... more
