謙卑意味著走出自我的世界，

我們知道真理能夠團結所有人，
我們在世界上的衝突，

厄瑪奴耳，
就是有天主與我們同在的意思。
這句對經是由三個聖經的經文組合而成的，
但值得我們去留意的是當時的背景，
就是在公元前733年
敘利亞、厄弗辣因聯軍圍攻耶路撒冷，
當時的猶大王阿哈次在宮廷召開緊急會議，
這時候，依撒意亞先知就向他宣佈了著名的厄瑪奴耳神諭，就是：
「看，有位貞女要懷孕生子，
給他起名叫厄瑪奴耳。」
天主與我們同在。

這對經是由四段不同的聖經經文組成，
有來自舊約的創世紀：

亦有來自哈蓋先知書：
「這位萬民的君王是眾百姓的希望。」
也有來自依撒意亞先知書：
「看！我要在熙雍安放一塊石頭，
一塊精選的石頭，
信賴的人必不動搖。」

《O Oriens》
Oriens 是拉丁文，
本身的意思就是說「東方」，
猶太人本身有一個傳統，
就是朝著耶路撒冷聖殿祈禱，
而基督徒也傳承了猶太人的傳統，
不過，就以東方取代了耶路撒冷的聖殿，
而且太陽旭日也代表著耶穌基督，
因為耶穌基督祂自己就是一個榮耀的聖殿。
所以，教會初期的基督徒都喜歡面向著東方祈禱的，
因為在福音裡耶穌也有講過，
