I’m really enjoying this podcast!
Listening to this show is actually therapeutic, and makes me feel seen in all my absurd human messiness. I love hearing about other peoples’ internal worlds and realizing the ways they’re weird or imperfect, the irrational things they fixate on, the contrived ways they’ve come up with to handle things, etc. (which is all hilarious). Somehow Ely treats all of this with great care and gravity, but also pokes fun at it in a way that undoes a lot of its power. Such a brilliant podcast!
as a therapist & a comedy fan (and queer girl with adhd), I live for this podcast.
I have followed Ely on social media for a long time and I can’t believe I’ve only just started listening, but I’m so glad I did! I’m a new mom and Ely’s insight is so valuable and she is so refreshing and relatable. And everything non parenting related is wonderful as well!!
Super inspired by Robby’s episode. Loved the discussion of money - but also her experience of actually not having shame around being gay despite her religious upbringing really resonates with my experience and made me feel really validated because sometimes I’m like is there something wrong with me that I don’t feel shameful about this am I disconnected from myself or something?! Oh the spirals 😵💫 🌀keep up the awesome work 👏🏻
