  • Everyone needs to listen to this

I’m so thankful for finding this podcast. I’m nearly 62 and plan on getting divorced this year from a 30 year relationship - the last 10 years no sex. I’ll be dating again. So glad they interviewed Cindy Gallup! I’ve wanted follow-up information on her. Great topics. There are so many derogatory sniggers in the world towards seniors have sex - when I feel like I’m the most experienced and sexual I’ve ever been in my life. Good going!

Why Couples Lose Desire (And How to Get It Back) | Dr. Anna Elton
Q: What practical steps can partners take to rekindle desire after years together?
Begin with check-ins and physical affection like hugs to trigger oxytocin, add playful date-night ideas to reintroduce novelty, and practice consensual uncertainty by changing how and where you connect, gradually rebuilding attraction.
Why Couples Lose Desire (And How to Get It Back) | Dr. Anna Elton
Q: Why do couples in long-term relationships often experience a dip in desire, and what can they do about it?
Desire can wane due to chronic stress hormones, routine, and emotional disconnection; strategies include boosting emotional intimacy through small check-ins, flirting, maintaining novelty, and scheduling fun, new experiences with deliberate communication.
Why Long-Term Couples Drift Apart—and the Simple Habit That Brings Them Back
Q: What practical steps can help couples address resentment and improve intimacy?
Key steps include identifying specific requests instead of broad complaints, asking how to make it easier for the partner, and expressing appreciation for progress to reinforce positive changes.
Why Long-Term Couples Drift Apart—and the Simple Habit That Brings Them Back
Q: How can couples keep the spark alive in long-term relationships?
The guest emphasizes intentional time, daily emotional connection, honest communication about needs, and learning to teach and set boundaries with kindness, rather than assuming the partner can read your mind.
Live with Suzanne Noble and Joli Hamilton PhD - Understanding Jealousy
Q: Is jealousy more intense in non-monogamous relationships, or just more visible?
It's not necessarily more intense, but it is more visible because non-monogamous setups require ongoing negotiation and transparency; monogamy also features jealousy, but often lacks explicit cultural dialogue about it.
