Bringing todays mentality of woke mindless I’m right and the rest of the world is wrong and applying it to a show that’s 20yrs old I good study of how the broken mind of the woke actually works fascinating but also kinda sad insight into the mind of madness
If swear if I have to hear “whackity schmackity” one more time I’ll scream, 14 seasons in, much like ER, I am not giving up now, but OMG!!!
The hosts are okay. They do a good job of describing the episodes, which is what I'm here for. They can be very nit-picky and self-righteous. I was hoping that would get better, but it has pretty much gotten worse. It's not bad enough that I've stopped listening to it (I'm in season 8). I love ER and I couldn't find the other ER podcast on this app, but if you listen on other apps then I'd suggest the other one. I just use the fast forward button a lot. They have good cast/crew interviews.
I watched ER when it was originally airing but I was young and didn’t pay much attention and let’s be honest, I don’t remember much about it this point! I’ve decided to do a rewatch while working. I love recap podcasts and was more than happy to find this one to listen to after watching each episode. You all are awesome and are helping me get through the work day. Keep up the amazing work!
I was happy to find this podcast because I love ER! It’s my favorite show of all time. Please say Noah Wyle’s name correct! It’s so annoying that his name is mispronounced. Otherwise, a good podcast.

This show offers thoughtful, often humorous deep-dives into a classic medical drama, episode by episode. The hosts balance rigorous analysis of storytelling, medical realism, and character arcs with personal anecdotes and cultural context from the time of each episode's release. Recurring strengths include strong banter, thorough research on guests and writers, and a willingness to discuss sensitive topics with nuance. A notable feature is the producers' willingness to feature guest perspectives and behind-the-scenes context, while also weaving in fan reactions and occasional promotional plugs for premium content. This mix makes it a solid pick for ER fans seeking both nostalgia and fresh critical insight, and for sponsors seeking a culture... more
