  • Often really interesting, but please improve audio quality

I really like the content, details and information about current missions and discoveries.

Unfortunately, it’s more often than not really difficult to listen to and follow due to low recording quality. I understand that not all guests have good equipment, but the hosts could maybe invest a little to improve quality. For starters, that‘s possible for well below 100 bucks. ;-)

Lost Pulsars Found? Breakthrough Listen's Deep Survey of the Galactic Core
Q: If confirmed, what does this change scientifically?
If this pulsar were confirmed, it would demonstrate that there is a large population of pulsars in the Galactic Center that we just haven't observed yet.
Back to the Moon: How Artemis II Sets the Stage for the Next Era of Missions
Q: Is establishing a permanent base on the moon and then a transfer station to Mars still the plan?
It's a potential plan but with many uncertainties, as we still need to understand water abundance and technology before solidifying those plans.
Back to the Moon: How Artemis II Sets the Stage for the Next Era of Missions
Q: What is your favorite part of Artemis that's similar to Apollo, and what's different?
The community involvement and lessons learned from Apollo is my favorite similarity, while the much improved technology and decision making stands out as a key difference.
Back to the Moon: How Artemis II Sets the Stage for the Next Era of Missions
Q: Is this issue with Artemis regarding communication during the moon orbit similar to Apollo 13?
There will be constant communication and monitoring from other orbiters like the lunar reconnaissance orbiter to prevent communication blackouts.
Life After Ice: 46,000-Year-Old Worms Wake Up
Q: How did you revive this worm? Or does it just crawl out when you defrost?
The worm was discovered by accident during soil sample analysis, and they crawled out once the soil was thawed.

A notable trait is the seamless blend of rigorous science with interdisciplinary guests—artists, poets, and communicators—creating unique angles on how we observe, model, and imagine life beyond Earth. Audio quality and guest accessibility are common discussion touchpoints, but the breadth of topics and hands-on science make it a compelling pick for listeners who want both de... more
