Reviews

4.6 out of 5 stars from 16 ratings
  • Often really interesting, but please improve audio quality

I really like the content, details and information about current missions and discoveries.

Unfortunately, it’s more often than not really difficult to listen to and follow due to low recording quality. I understand that not all guests have good equipment, but the hosts could maybe invest a little to improve quality. For starters, that‘s possible for well below 100 bucks. ;-)

Life in Titan’s Ocean? The Microscopic Possibility of Biomass on Saturn's Moon
Q: What surprised you most about the results of the study?
The estimated low population size of potential life forms was surprising yet made sense in the context of early Earth ecosystems.
Life in Titan’s Ocean? The Microscopic Possibility of Biomass on Saturn's Moon
Q: So your team modeled fermentation as a possible metabolism for Titan, can you explain what fermentation is in this instance and why you chose it for Titan?
Fermentation requires only the organic molecule to obtain energy, making it a simple metabolism that can exist in Titan's conditions, focusing specifically on its organic inventory.
LaserSETI Live Puerto Rico Edition: A New Observatory & Revisiting the Wow! Signal
Q: Why is LaserSETI just one unit per location?
There are three different instruments at this location to overlap multiple other LaserSETI observatories and have enough instruments for optimal viewing.
LaserSETI Live Puerto Rico Edition: A New Observatory & Revisiting the Wow! Signal
Q: What could multi-wavelength correlation reveal if the Wow signal had counterparts outside of the 1.4 GHz band?
They are looking in archived data for the Wow signal's potential optical counterpart and have not found one yet, as the signal is a radio signal that shouldn't have an optical counterpart.
Citizen Science in Astronomy (Part 7): Comet 3I/ATLAS and a Disintegrating Exoplanet
Q: Do we know why this planet is disintegrating?
It's disintegrating because it is so very close to its star and because it's a pretty small planet.
