Artwork for Sense of Self

Sense of Self showcases women of color who are confronting and challenging the stories they believe about themselves. Conversations between psychiatrist Dr. Gowri Aragam and our guests demonstrate—but do not preach—about therapeutic concepts, particularly personal narrative, its origins, and the power of reclaiming one's own story.

  • So deep and so hopeful!

I really love listening to this podcast! Dr. Gowri Aragam and her guests bring such a spirit of curiosity and vulnerability to the exploration of the question — how we develop our personal stories? And what could it mean to examine and transform them? Centered on women of color, the conversations are honest and personal, and they feel special—like you're having a great big real-talk with a friend (but that friend happens to be an accomplished psychiatrist). I can’t wait for the next season!
