I love this podcast and I have listened to many insightful conversations since I first discovered the podcast. I resonate with many of the real life stories of being an (overworked) academic. It makes me feel less alone - and inspires a path forward that is gentle and self-compassionate.
Such an inspirational Podcast. Danielle offers solutions for those of us anxious about academia and our place in it. Every episode is thoughtful and well-researched. Worth a listen.
Danielle has been a companion for me for years, as I navigate my burnout & severe health issues. I love what she brings to over worked, over committed faculty members. Listening to these episodes for several years has given me so much hope that there is so much more than living a life desperate for semester breaks.
I’ve been listening to this podcast for over a year now and I have to say it has changed a lot about how I view and manage my career. There are so many gems in these interviews. For any academics who are struggling (which is a lot of us), this podcast will make you feel like you are not alone, like your struggles are real and legitimate, and that you can find ways to become more self-compassionate, may that be inside or outside of academia. Don’t wait, try an episode now!!! You won’t regret it!
As the semester looms ahead, I crave insights and inspiration, ways to remain grounded and to NOT feel like a doc student again five years into my current faculty position. Thank you, Danielle, for offering new perspectives and fresh ideas for me to infuse into my own path of compassionate self-discovery.
