I have bought, read, listened to, recommended, and given away Matt’s books. But there’s not enough Matt in this podcast. I’m sure James Kennedy is a fine person but he dominates these conversations, constantly interrupting and talking over Matt and the guests. Occasionally there are some deeper discussions of the finer points of The Secrets of Story, but they’re too rare and brief for this show to be worth the time. Sorry.
I think calling the protagonist's first try to solve the conflict "the easy way" is meant as a mnemonic for remembering their first attempt is not the best. It's short, it's catchy, it's enough to trigger your memory. Kennedy insists on nitpicking this name without making any contribution other than derailing the conversation. I wish Bird spoke more.
