The Red Pyramid Ch. 30-31: And Tell Your Father I Kept My Promise
Q: Do you have any thoughts on that, Darien?
Darien expresses joy at the concept but believes Riordan could have been advised on execution.
Percy Jackson Makeup Department Head Naomi Bakstad on Designing Season 1!
Q: Could you talk to us a little bit about relatedly, like when you were starting, like what types of considerations go into makeup design for specifically, like the main trio and like the child actors?
The biggest thing with Percy's makeup specifically is that because we shoot such a long season in Vancouver and it has so many different types of weather.
Percy Jackson Makeup Department Head Naomi Bakstad on Designing Season 1!
Q: What was it like creating that sunken eye and that paleness?
It was so fun. We again, did lots of tests and so like I said, I often added a lot of tan and color into Walker's skin for his everyday look and his freckles. So to pull all that away was sort of the first step of that makeup where we, I sort of went against the grain to make him look more pale and then darkened his eyes.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians Episode 2: I Become Supreme Lord of the Bathroom
Q: How do you feel that this episode has succeeded at all angles of filmmaking?
The episode does well engaging children with excitement, introduces adult themes through character relationships, offers in-depth details for fans, and has solid explanations for newcomers.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians Episode 4: I Plunge to my Death

It effectively tackles the complexities of childhood and violence, making it relevant for all demographics and retaining a balance between humor and depth for first-time viewers.
