Kev and Randy take to the mics once a week to talk about a song from the catalogue of the enigmatic, brilliant, and sometimes flawed rock legends Queen. Each week a song will be chosen at random so that the boys won't know what track they'll be reviewing. Kev comes into the podcast as a Queen afficionado, while Randy is a more casual fan, but has a huge wealth of knowledge about recording, perform... more

  • It started off as a fantastic Queen related podcast but the longer it's gone on, the longer the hosts have become self indulgent.

Latter episodes have very little Queen talk as the hosts increasingly believe their own stardom, as if the listener wants to hear 50 minutes of what the hosts have had for breakfast this week and then 10 minutes reviewing a Queen song.

  • Preposterous!

…but in a good way. This podcast has made me fall in love with Queen again. The most simultaneously magnificent and ridiculous band in rock history!

  • More filler less killer

I enjoy listening to the podcast, in the absence of the original Queen Pod but recently find myself skipping entire sections. Chrissy ‘The Waters of Love’ Lake desperate attempts to sell an unpublished book and has the most irritating voice is now an instant skip and her reading out messages from Discord doesn’t add anything.

Despite this, there’s still lots to love about the podcast and the guys clearly value the community.

  • Fun It!

A fun weekly jaunt through Queen's discography and they also do bonus content now and then even though no one ever asked for it! So nice.

  • Good but …

… who is the guy who speaks a hundred words a second ? Too fast, man ! Do you drink 10 Red Bull before pressing “Record”?

Ill persevere because you sound like a nice bunch and I love Queen, but Im having to listen with the audio on a slower speed 😲

Give him some camomile tea !

Q: When we look at solo credits on A Kind of Magic, was this setup about maximizing contributions or something else?

Hearing a song live can change your perspective significantly.
Seven Seas of Rhye
