Huge treat from someone whose heart is in her stories. Eileen has a beautiful voice for this work. Thank you for this experience. 🙏
This podcast is full of Scottish and Celtic history. The interconnectedness of folklore in history is just a great reminder of stories through the age
Eileen is such a wonderfully talented person, and you can tell how knowledgeable and passionate she is about her subject matter. I find it difficult to get absorbed in most podcasts, but this is soothing and familiar. It reminds me keenly of radio dramas I listened to as a child. I am thrilled to have found something that is both intellectually stimulating and culturally enlightening
The host has a wonderful voice and way of storytelling. I enjoy all the stories. Pure delight for anyone who loves Scottish folktales!
This whole podcast is a real joy. The stories are well-researched and well-curated, and the way they are told is engaging without being pedantic or cute. And Eileen Budd’s voice and performance are pleasing to the ear, natural-sounding, simple and unaffected. The stories are well-written and tight. I love the visual images I get from listening, and the free run of associations this podcast sparks in me. Thanks so much for giving us this gem!
