I love listening to the discussions about Saints because I wish I had more people to discuss it with in my own life! All of the co-hosts are fun to listen to and voice some of my own questions, thoughts and feelings. And I’m grateful to the historians and writers that come on to add some more context and break down the book for people who aren’t as familiar with the history… like me. All-in-all, I’m just as excited to listen to the podcast as the book itself.
Saints is a good companion podcast to reading the book. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed learning the history!
Joseph Smith pressured his adopted teenage daughters into marriage. In 2022 a sex predator was arrested in Arizona, the church knew about it for years and did nothing. Thank God for Righteousness priesthood leaders…
I really enjoy listening to this podcast after reading the accompanying chapter. Most fascinating history!
Just listened to episode 26 and was struck by the quality of the research which underpins Saints. It was also very valuable to hear Petra’s comments (having Jewish heritage), how she felt and how she considers and processes difficult historical scenarios.
