  • RPG Podcasting At Its Best

I have listened to the Tetracast for years now and it continues to rank as my favorite weekly podcast. The crew is knowledgeable and even when i disagree with their conclusions on a particular title (cough, cough…Josh…Octopath Traveler), I respect the opinions they offer because they are thoughtful and informed. I will continue listening to this podcast for as long as the team continues.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Tetracast 434: Something I Have To Do
Q: What are your initial impressions of Crimson Desert after extended hands-on and pre-release previews?
Crimson Desert is visually stunning and technically ambitious, often feeling like a tech demo in the best sense, but its control scheme, combat pacing, and lack of character customization are barriers for some players. The game rewards patient exploration and careful resource management, but it can be a slog if you expect a traditional, highly accessible action RPG.
Tetracast 425: Three Kingdoms Fanfiction
Q: What do you think about the new DLC for Dynasty Warriors Origins?
The hosts discussed how the DLC 'Visions of Four Heroes' allows players to explore different campaigns for characters traditionally viewed as antagonists, opening up new narratives within the established history of the Three Kingdoms.
Tetracast 417: Space to Space
Q: How does the skill system in Outer Worlds 2 differ from the first?
The skill system is more crucial, dictating how players navigate quests and interact with factions, enhancing the RPG experience even further.
Tetracast 417: Space to Space
Q: Will players need to have played the first Outer Worlds to enjoy the sequel?
If players loved the writing and the setting of the first game, they will likely enjoy the sequel, but those who did not like the first game's tone might not enjoy the sequel either.
Tetracast 414: What's scarier than a bad remake of Parasite Eve?
Q: What are the key elements to the Digimon Story Time Stranger game?
The game features engaging monster farming with over 450 Digimon, a robust battle system, and exploration in vibrant digital worlds.
