  • Smooth Podcast

I’ve recently discovered this podcast via another fantastic one: Permanent Record Podcast. I’m glad I gave this a listen. It’s very well done with nice insights on music I love, well-produced and timed. I’ve got many shows I’m looking forward to hearing (especially the Halloween playlist one as the holiday is coming up). Thanks for a quality production!

Movie Talk: Becoming Led Zeppelin
Q: What prior Zeppelin experience should you have before you go see this movie?
I don't think you need any. I think that the movie, I mean, I really want to know what it would be like if you had none, but I think it's great, and I don't think that you need to have a background in the band to really enjoy it.
Movie Talk: Becoming Led Zeppelin
Q: What was your guys' take on that direction for the movie?
I liked it especially because I feel like what it did was it showed you how Led Zeppelin came to be and I mean it's called Becoming Led Zeppelin. It's not called a survey of the entire career of Led Zeppelin. It's how does this happen? That was the focus and that's what I like.
Interview with Daniel Bukszpan (Author of Iron Maiden at 50)
Q: What was the inspiration for the book?
I love Iron Maiden. If there was like an organizing principle for all these books that I've done, it's that.
Movie Talk: Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band
Q: Was there anything as a Die Hard Springsteen fan that you learned from this movie that you had not known before?
I don't think so; nothing I knew before, but I really got a lot out of it.
Movie Talk: Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band
Q: Did Bruce play songs from that tour that was featured in the film that you saw on tour in Oklahoma?
Yeah, pretty much most of the songs they feature were ones that he played regularly on the tour.
