Love these guys. Enthusiastic fans rather than hardcore GOT deep dive reviews.
These guys shouldn’t have an instant reaction, they really need to think before they speak. They go scene by scene with no intropection on emotions for any of the characters. Yes I was tricked by Dany because everyone she burnt were bad people and it seemed OK (never blinked when Khal Drogo crowned her brother) but remember when she promised to the Dothraki to burn all the lords in their stone tents, remember when she burned to Tarlys just because they wouldn’t kneel. Makes perfect sense to me.... more
The hosts are alright. Kind of stereotypical bro talk. At least they don’t get into how the show is racist or sexist or something. But it’s basically just a play by play of the episode. They don’t have much deep knowledge of the show or books. (They pronounce Daenerys duh-nair-EE-us. It’s not daenerius. It’s duh-nair-iss. You’d think if you have a podcast about a show you’d be able to pronounce the main characters name.)
BUT they do drop an episode the night of the show airing. So that’s nice. I... more
This podcast provides an in-depth analysis of Game of Thrones that only very few can provide. Are you ready to get wheeling with Thrones?? Matt does a great job of setting the pace for this stellar 60-90 min of discussion and is clearly a professional. Tim could have wrote the Game of Thrones Encyclopedia and could be an undercover agent for George R.R. Martin himself!! I cannot wait for these guys to cover the prequels for years to come!
Good content, horrible sound quality.
New listener, wish i found this show sooner. Excellent chemistry between the hosts and great info from the episodes, a lot of things that are overlooked. Looking forward to the final episodes!
Great review but overshadowed by dry mouth and water gulping-very distracting.
Good info but dido on the smacking when talking in podcast really annoying!
Always love to hear people talk about the show and episodes but this is a very amateur podcast. Nothing more then a play by play of each scene from one guy with a couple comments here and there from the others. Pretty much everyone listening has already watched the episode so I was expecting more discussions on what happened and theories. Is it just me or can you hear every time the one guy swallows? I couldn’t get over it and found it very distracting.
Not the place for in-depth analysis but it was a good recap with one exception - the unexpected ASMR from hosts slurping and smacking. Honestly made my skin crawl every time.
Will listen again. Hopefully it’s a one time thing.
Great pod. Thanks.
Pro tip: have some water near by. Smacking dry mouth into the mic gets in the way of your interesting analysis.
The very best GOT podcast out there! They have great insight and some solid predictions. Pretty clear that they love the show and unlike some podcasts they have a passion for the GOT plot. If there is one very small flaw, one of the guys needs to drink a little water after the Sunday night episode as you can tell he has dry mouth. Great show overall. I wish I had discovered it several years ago.
Your latest episode is only a minute long ?
It is quite simple. This podcast is the quintessential podcast for imediate data, event breakdown, user input, and predictions. Humor + provocative discussion and live audience interaction. Amazing.
My favorite podcast to listen to after game of thrones each week. Makes my Monday’s at work so much more enjoyable. Especially since I don’t have to engage in the ridiculous takes my dumba** coworkers have. Love you guys, keep it up!
