Fantastic podcast. Just one suggestion, organize the patreon Apple feed by seasons. It’s a nightmare trying to listen to one series straight through. Other than that, perfect!
I just finished the FFT season and I just had to say I appreciated the mention of “zeny from ragnarok online” . That was my GAME as a kid.. I was definitely addicted!
But I truly enjoy this pod, and I want to say thank you guys for your fun banter and humor during the gameplays. Your thorough analysis and critiques were fun treats I looked forward to after a long stressful day at my new teaching job !
Now I gotta go back and listen to your previous seasons..! Keep up the good work 👌🏾😊
I like the cut of your jib.
This is a wonderful podcast that covers the best JRPG games and the hosts are great together and the humor is also cool. Also cool that you’re in Louisville Kentucky. I live across the river in New Albany. Great to hear local guys on a podcast :)

The show offers long-form, beat-by-beat explorations of classic JRPGs, blending meticulous game analysis with banter, personal anecdotes, and meta-commentary. Episodes center on narrative moments, systems, and design decisions, often weaving in live patron interactions and running gags from their post-production personas. The hosts consistently connect games' eras to broader pop culture, while maintaining a warm, humorous, and deeply nerdy tone that appeals to longtime JRPG fans who enjoy thorough breakdowns and personal storytelling. A notable strength is the seamless pairing of rigorous analysis with relatable host chemistry and audience participation, which helps listeners relive beloved titles while discovering new interpretive angles.
