  • A true debate

I really like the podcast. But love to have couple episodes where it’s a true debate Justin believes this and chuck truly disagrees because most of them they believe the same and have to defend something they don’t believe to try to make an argument. Great podcast.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Selling at Shows vs Online w/ Keith Sweet
Q: What makes a good buyer online?
A good online buyer is patient, asks for specifics, and is willing to let information be shared publicly, reducing the chance of scams and post-purchase disputes.
Selling at Shows vs Online w/ Keith Sweet
Q: What's a downside of online sales?
Online buyers can be tire kickers, require extensive photo documentation, and drag out the sale process, making it harder to close without direct face-to-face interaction.
Selling at Shows vs Online w/ Keith Sweet
Q: Why switch from shows to more online sales?
The host explains that shows cut into prime herping time and involve heavy logistics and risks, while online sales streamline transactions, allowing quicker turns and a broader, more focused audience.
Grilling the Expert w/ Dallin Kohler
Q: How did you come to write the book and find a publisher?
Kohler explains that Torrey House Press in Salt Lake City published the book, encouraged by his father's recommendation, and that the journey began from a desire to blend science with narrative nonfiction in herpetology.
Do others inspire our herping to evolve? W/ Stephen Falick
Q: How does group dynamics affect your experience and the likelihood of finding snakes?
Groups increase coverage and sightings but can also disrupt the experience if the crowd overwhelms a site; the best approach is selective when solo or in small groups, and choosing cuts that aren't hammered by crowds.
