花开無聲生而为人，我很遗憾。
70年前的6月13日，日本作家太宰治在玉川上水与情人山崎富荣自杀身亡。
他的死，可以说是对所谓的日本文明社会最大的嘲笑。
太宰治从20岁到39岁，19年间，前后经历了5次自杀，在他身上到底发生了什么？
第一次自杀，是在20岁。因为学业不佳，在寄宿的家中服下大量的安眠药，却因为未到致死量而失败。
第二次自杀，21岁，与银座酒吧的女招待殉情，这次同样是服用了大量的安眠药，结果是情人离他而去，自己却被救了回来。
这次自杀让他背负了一生的罪责感。
第三次自杀，是在26岁。学业门门挂科，毕业希望渺茫，报考报社不及格，绝望之余，便跑到山中上吊自杀，可是上吊的绳子断了，只得悻悻而归。
第四次自杀，28岁。那年春天，得知妻子与人有染，他悲苦恼怒，带着妻子前往群马县水上村谷川温泉，打算两人结伴共赴黄泉。这次两人还是因为药量不足而活了下来。
看来，日本的安眠药，普遍存在份量不足的嫌疑。 more

那天上午，我们在浅草的六区徘徊，走进一家咖啡店，点了杯牛奶。
“你去付账吧。”
我起身，从和服袖子里掏出钱夹打开，里面只有三枚铜钱。一种比羞耻更为凄厉的情绪俘虏了我，那一刻我脑海中浮现的，是我在仙游馆的那间屋子。那屋子里只有学生制服和被子，家徒四壁，能用来典当的值钱物件已一件不剩。再加上我身上穿着的碎花和服和披风，这就是我的全部。
我清醒地意识到，自己再无法活在这世上。
她看到我踌躇的模样，站起身来看着我的钱包：
“哎呀，只有这些了吗？”
她无心的一句话，深深地刺入我的骨髓。... more

起初，我每日只注射一支，逐渐增加到两支、四支，渐渐地，没了吗啡我已无法工作。
“这样不行，中毒了怎么办？”
经她这么一说，我觉得自己已然有了毒瘾（我是很容易接受他人暗示的人。若有人对我说，“虽然这笔钱不能花，但到底花不花是你的事”，我反而觉得不花不行，不花会辜负他人的期待，于是必定会马上把这笔钱花光），中毒的不安反而让我对吗啡的欲求日益膨胀。
“求你了！再给我一盒。月底我一定把账付清。”
“账什么时候付都可以，但若被警察知道就麻烦了。”
