  • Pure gold

Every podcast that is a music show on CJSW is pure gold. I listen to a dif one for dif activities. Remote emissions is my study and paperwork soundtrack. It’s well produced, not full of irrelevant ads like so many podcasts, great tunes and I really respect them for starting every show by saying they are on treaty land.

  • CJSW saved my life

This show is my boyfriend. Or.... one of my boyfriends. This show talked with me late into the night, listened to all my worries, made love to me and then cuddled me to sleep.

  • A formative influence

I’ve been listening to Remote Emissions since I was a teenager. I used to record the shows onto cassettes, and now—just over twenty years later!—I can access syncopated emissions in a truly remote way... across the country, wirelessly and through my phone. Lotus Queen is a dedicated host, talented DJ, and a massive supporter of talent both local and abroad. I still remember going to some raves with her! To this day, I continue to carry some CJSW merch from my past funding drive contributions to ... more
