  • Might as well get the full meal deal

With the addition of Mac Power Users! Everything here for the complete Mac head. A balance of voices including good international representation, and a mix of formats from interview (Inquisitive), roundtable (Clockwise) and Panel. Now not everything is Mac related, Pen Addict is a notable exception, but they are all so good you might as well.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Pen Addict 718: A Guy With A Typewriter Walks Into A Bar
Q: What got you into stationery in the first place?
It started with pencils and school supplies, then high school preferences, journaling, and eventually discovering fountain pens and a broader stationery world after a trip to a pen store in Memphis.
Upgrade 617: Image Playgrounds Is My Roman Empire
Q: What do you think Apple needs to deliver at WWDC this year?
We expect a coherent AI strategy with practical, user-facing features that integrate with the core OS, improved Siri and shortcuts, and better developer tooling like App Intense, rather than a bag of isolated features.
Paper Places 26: Writing Horror, with David Sodergren
Q: How important is the backlist to your career, and how did you leverage it when one title took off?
The backlist is crucial; once a book hits, readers explore other titles in the catalog. It's not just the hit but the chain of backlist titles that sustains momentum and expands readership over time.
Paper Places 26: Writing Horror, with David Sodergren
Q: How did you approach publishing your early books and deciding between traditional publishing and self-publishing?
I chose self-publishing because horror was a trending, accessible space in 2018, and I wanted full creative control and better royalties. I built the process around cover art, editing, formatting, and gradually grew a back catalog that fed reader discovery.
Paper Places 26: Writing Horror, with David Sodergren
Q: What do you write about?
I mostly write horror novels and love exploring sub-genres—from Italian slasher influences to zombie fiction—while updating older tropes for a modern audience and focusing on strong, sometimes unconventional female protagonists.
