Kristoffer Borgli's provocative The Drama causes drama on the podcast! But before the argument erupts, Jared recommends a forgotten classic, Michael revisits a sci-fi blockbuster, and Joe changes his mind on an acclaimed 2025 film.
The guys go on a space adventure with big-budget crowdpleaser Project Hail Mary. Jared recommends an old Italian thriller, Michael revisits a childhood favorite, and Joe champions Michael Mann.
A quarter of a century has passed since 2001, so Michael, Jared, and Joe reflect on that time with a fantasy draft of movies from that year.
Michael, Jared, and Joe discuss the 98th Academy Awards nominees and predict who will win. Note: This conversation was recorded prior to the 79th BAFTAs and 32nd Actor Awards, which would have altered the talking points and Oscars forecast.

I’ve been a listener for a while and this is the real deal. Engrossing and unpretentious, it’s always great to listen to Michael, Joe, and Jared. Only thing I would change is - release episodes more often!
I listen to a lot of film podcasts. This is one of those really underrated podcasts that deserve to be better known. Just as good or better than the best film podcasts out there.
The concept is great: movies, drinks and jive. Who doesn't like jive? I speak jive!
Intelligent and insightful about film while simultaneously engaging and genuinely fun to listen to. Actually feels like you're listening to real people rather than people trying to construct an image of a 'respecatable cinephile' for themselves, which is probably the best kind of film criticism you could find. I never miss an episode. These guys bring insight and attitude to the table without the pretentious snobbery you get from “serious critics”. I particularly like the Recommendations portion at the beginning of each episode.
Three distinct personalities offering up informed opinions on film. Listening to this podcast is like sitting in a room with your buds.
Keep up the good work guys.
Compelling, non-pretentious discussion that is also highly entertaining. Focus is film but also dives into TV and music (and video games). On my short list of "must listen" podcasts. Only wish they recorded even more frequently! Highly recommended.

A lively roundtable-style show about cinema and related media, featuring three core hosts who bring strong opinions, humor, and a habit of linking film discussion to broader culture. Episodes often dive into new releases, classics, industry trends, and even tangential topics like awards campaigns, marketing, and festival coverage, all while balancing sharp analysis with candid banter and personal recommendations. A recurring strength is how the hosts disagree with clarity and empathy, making conversations feel like a group of cinephile friends sharing informed takes without pretension. This mix of smart film criticism, accessible dialogue, and a playful rapport likely keeps listeners coming back for both thoughtful insight and entertaining ... more
