Red Sands knocked my socks on my first listen. It's not what you'd expect from an original noir, nor is it what you'd expect from a detective drama. It takes some very interesting turns that truely make it stand out, while also giving the characters some fantastic arcs. Five stars!

Nobody makes audio shows like this anymore...
Perhaps they never did.
Suffice to say this contains a fantastic merge of "Olde Worlde" British seaside romp thrown headlong and without apology into the realm of 1930s American crime noir.
The results are a funny, sweet, tense and mysterious tale of murder, revenge and booze.
Not what you expect and all the better for it.
