  • Robinhood, Chime, and the Emergence of a New American Finance

I’m a big fan of Rebank, but this episode really stands out. Not only does it provide an understandable explanation of the Robinhood/Game Stop phenomenon, but it also highlights several emerging fintech trends in the American market

  • Long-time listener, first-time reviewer

    Hi Will

Without intending to be trite, I love the Re:Bank podcast.

The only thing I am dissatisfied with is that I now have to wait each time for your next instalment, because I have listened to your back catalogue.

What, in particular, I enjoy about Re:Bank is the nature of what you ask your guests, the people you choose to interview, and the quality of your voice.

I’m in New Zealand. Any opportunity you have to come this way, take it! Meeting you would be grand.

    Bye for now

Q: How do you think this transition is likely to play out?
The rush to tokenize will dissipate into two camps: predicting market bets and true blockchain-native securities with collateral value.

Q: Do you think there's any chance of Reg NMS relief or rule change to facilitate on-chain markets?
It is a tough road as Reg NMS is a law; I don't see any appetite for it to be overturned, which makes regulatory innovation difficult.
