  • Great conversation

This podcast is a fine example of the incredibly intelligent thought leaders in this space. Im relatively new the to defi vs tradfi debate, but the granular as well as wider focus on context/bigger picture (IE not fixating on the isolated stories of one technology vs the other) is what makes this super worthwhile listen. If I was pushed to positively critique - and this is fully cognisant that you’re audience is largely sophisticated in their understanding - I think a parallel glossary on the ba... more

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Agents as Companies: The EigenCloud Thesis | Sreeram Kannan & Gajesh Naik
Q: Explain like I'm five: what makes EigenCloud different from cryptographic and traditional software stacks when you have multiple agents who might not trust each other?
EigenCloud provides an architecture where agents can be verified, their credentials protected, and their actions auditable via EITrust reports. This creates a trust-and-verifiability layer that allows mutually distrusting parties to run complex, shared tasks without giving up control to any single party, effectively enabling cooperative, verifiable autonomous agents to operate at scale.
Agents as Companies: The EigenCloud Thesis | Sreeram Kannan & Gajesh Naik
Q: There's an interesting tension between personal agents and multi-party agents. How do you think about ownership and the economic differences when agents own properties?
When an agent can own properties (like a Twitter account or a website), it becomes an economically meaningful actor. This enables fractional or complete ownership of the agent itself, opening pathways to investment and governance that mirror traditional companies, but with all core layers encapsulated in software.
Agents as Companies: The EigenCloud Thesis | Sreeram Kannan & Gajesh Naik
Q: Let's start with a basic comparison: why would a developer choose to build on EigenCloud versus existing market solutions?
EigenCloud offers built-in verification, private keys handling, and off-chain execution with blockchain-like guarantees, enabling developers to deploy apps quickly (five minutes) in a trusted, verifiable environment. This reduces the friction of creating trustless, autonomous agents that can own assets and operate over time.
Oneshot: The Bill That Could Reshape Crypto | Rebecca Rettig
Q: What is the crux of the yield question in this bill, and why does it matter for stablecoins?
The central issue is whether token issuers can offer rewards on stablecoins under the framework, and how that interacts with protections for community banks, with negotiations focusing on allowable rewards while preserving financial stability and a level playing field.
How Morpho Is Redefining Money Markets | Paul Frambot | S9 E4
Q: What do you think it means for traditional financial entities like large consumers and institutions in terms of fixed-rate offering?
There is a crucial need for predictability in fixed-rate lending, especially as these traditional users integrate into DeFi, needing assurance in their borrowing costs.
