  • Not for me but…..

I have listened to every single episode but I can’t listen any more. Every episode mentions ai/chat gpt and how well off other people are. This coming live from Merrion Row with a holiday home in Dunmore East!!! And Mairead flying to London to see It Matilda when it is on in Dublin. It is tedious and completely tone deaf. 5 stars for Bernard is a must listen though. I love Bernard!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Bad Actors, Bad Smells and Aon Focail Eile
Q: What are you familiar with culturally that connects your Irish and Indian roots, Dane?
Dane explains his heritage struggle and pride, highlighting the 50/50 DNA idea, and how his Irish-Cavern and Indian-Catholic background creates a unique, blended identity that informs his comedy.
The Truth about ADHD

He notes that ADHD was once viewed as a childhood condition and that there is now greater awareness and more assessments, though this can also raise concerns about over-diagnosis and the social impact of labeling.
Shut Up, Suit Up and Show Up ; A Conversation with James Hollis
Q: Why is the self so important in his approach?
The self, especially the true self, is the organizing principle that seeks authentic expression; recognizing its autonomy helps us move away from automatic patterns toward a life guided by inner meaning rather than external pressures.
Shut Up, Suit Up and Show Up ; A Conversation with James Hollis
Q: What is it to be human?
Hollis frames it as the central question of life, a quest to understand our journey, our mortality, and how to live in ways aligned with deeper values rather than merely outward success.
Can Ray run 100m in 17 seconds ?
Q: Is it possible for Ray to run 100 meters in less than 17 seconds?
Derval explains that while the 17-second mark is extraordinarily fast, with the right sprint-focused training, drills, and recovery, a commitment to targeted speed work could move someone closer to that pace, though Ray would still be unlikely to hit 17 seconds given age and background factors.
