I absolutely love these guys. Been listening for about a decade now, though I did go through the back catalogue when I first strted, so I've heard it all. The finest Nintneno podcast there was/is throughout all of all of it's many incarnations. He's self depricating about it, but James runs a great show. Thanks for the good times, man.

2023: I still love the show, there’s something raw and pure about it. Not worried about trends it’s nice to hear about past games too. My main complaint is the show is now too long for my regular rotation. If it was an hour or an hour and a half I could keep up but I stopped listening when there were so many near 3 hour podcasts. Same reason I stopped listening to Rohan years ago. Still love the hosts I just can’t keep up with the show. All the episodes are on my backlog but I occasionally put a... more

  • Do these guys even like video games?

RFN was a solid podcast back in the day before James Jones took over hosting duties. The only reason I’m giving this 2 stars over 1 is because I’ve always enjoyed hearing Greg Leahy’s take on things. Guillaume Veillette & host, James Jones are the two worst. All they seem to do is spend the 2-3 hr podcast moaning & whining about video games. Don’t get me wrong; I’m not looking for blind Nintendo fan boys. I love honest, constructive opinions about games. But these guys (especially James) seem to... more

  • 13 years of listening…

Wow I’ve been listening to this show since the Drunk Cast. Too much banana in this drink!!! I even made an unsolicited live call via Skype which interrupted a telethon going on, where all I did was laugh because I was so delightfully shocked and embarrassed. Greg responded by saying “hmmm…there seems to be phantom laughing at the situation.” Do you remember this Greg? I love that you’re still around, but also terrified. James you do a great job as host. Love you guys.

  • Succint Podcast about Nintendo and the entertainment medium

I first got into this podcast around the lull of the Wii U era, trying to see if other people were also as let down by Nintendo as I was. Boy, was I in for a ride. The main cast has changed very little over the years, some have left, other has returned, but the core concept of the podcast remains the same. The insights of these fine gentlemen (yes, Gui, even you) is always on point, and the rants are always on point. I know it always ends up sounding odd, but these guys have filled in a void tha... more
