  • Volume up

Love Mike and his insights on sports. The delay inbetween guests can be annoying sometimes there are awkward silences. Not a huge deal and the damn volume sucks! Have to turn my volume up to hear this. I have the same problem with PTI podcast. These big companies host podcasts and the audio is bothersome doesn’t make since.

  • Such BS

If you want to listen to a softball interview about sorsby - this is it - I think you both ran out of fingers to point at why he was gambling ….such a joke ..they were talking about people who spend all their time on phones ..these guys live on their phone ..to make their money on “ the dirty laundry over the net” …usually listenable but this interview was pathetic

  • With appreciation

Appreciate this show and the work that Mike and Chris and their entire team bring to the public. It’s honest work. Of high integrity. Great blend of football knowledge, industry related issues, work place and legal issues, humor, humanity, and fun. Societal issues are handled with care. Love that Chris is an environmentalist, Mike is Italian!, and they are both choosing to speak about the topics of day that affect all people, not just football fans. My dream team! Thanks all!

  • No Politics

At best the NFL takes are forgettable. At worst they insist on giving political speeches. Both have raging cases of TDS, hard pass. If I could give them zero stars I would.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

PFT PM: Brady on receiver drama; Miller wants to be a Cowboy
Q: Addicted to sports, what is your setup on Sundays? How many games are you watching slash red zone?
The host describes watching multiple games via a red-zone style setup, with live feeds and careful coordination to avoid spoilers, illustrating the complexity of modern game-day workflow.
PFT PM: Aiyuk & 49ers at an impasse; NCAA investigating Cincinnati
Q: Does Mac Jones start the season as a 49er, and what are the trade implications if injuries occur?
Mac Jones is viewed as a potential temporary starter for the 49ers if injuries arise, but the team would prefer not to trade for him unless necessary, opting instead to explore options that don't require surrendering draft capital.
PFT PM: Where do things stand for Baker and Lamar?; Plus, Pickens is all in
Q: Why do so many teams wait until late in the off season to name a starter, especially in quarterback competitions?
The hosts explain it's a balance between ensuring the best player plays and protecting the locker room by not prematurely declaring a starter, which can undermine team buy-in and create perceived instability. They note that some teams delay to maximize competition while still trying to field a competent Week 1 lineup, accepting a potential short-term risk for long-term payoff.
PFT PM: When will Brendan Sorsby be drafted?
Q: Is there going to be a sportsbook impact on his draft process given the gambling chatter?
Yes, sponsorships and the broader gambling ecosystem around the NFL could influence how teams evaluate risk and protect their investments.
PFT PM: No supplemental draft for Brendan Sorsby
Q: What percent chance do you think Brendan Sorsby has of entering the draft next year if he doesn't play in 2026?
The host emphasizes that the outcome depends on CBA language, eligibility rules, and potential court actions, suggesting it's unclear and hinges on how the NFL, the union, and possibly the courts interpret the three-year eligibility rule and the April vs. supplemental draft eligibility.
