  • With appreciation

Appreciate this show and the work that Mike and Chris and their entire team bring to the public. It’s honest work. Of high integrity. Great blend of football knowledge, industry related issues, work place and legal issues, humor, humanity, and fun. Societal issues are handled with care. Love that Chris is an environmentalist, Mike is Italian!, and they are both choosing to speak about the topics of day that affect all people, not just football fans. My dream team! Thanks all!

  • No Politics

At best the NFL takes are forgettable. At worst they insist on giving political speeches. Both have raging cases of TDS, hard pass. If I could give them zero stars I would.

  • Lib politics with a side of football

Listening to Mike ruminate on Steve Colbert’s last show made me wonder if he was… weird. Truly Colbert was late night therapy for libs and Mike needed a hug

But now Mike and Chris have a new enemy- Jaxson Dart. And you can guess the reason

I know it’s Mikes show but geeze, how many times do libs have to get sports shows to talk politics since no wants to watch them do it on the regular news?

  • My favorite football pod

I was introduced to Simms through Stugotz and God Bless Football, and Florio through PFF with Simms, and then Florio with Pablo Torre…these guys just kept popping into my listening orbit. So it was natural that PFT became a daily listen for me.

  • No more political talk

I’ve been listening for a long while and enjoy the show and seeing Florio and Simms on Sunday night football.

However the show has changed not in a good way. Simms is out of control. Guess he didn’t learn his lesson when he was let go from Sunday night football after shooting off his mouth. Last week was horrible listening to these two. I listen to your podcast to hear and learn what’s going on with the NFL. I don’t want any politics mixed in, I don’t care who you like or don’t like in poli... more

Talking Points

Brendan Sorsby granted temporary injunction by Texas judge, allowed to play for Texas Tech next season (6/9 Hour 1)
Q: What are the potential implications of this ruling for the NCAA's governance and possible collective bargaining?
The guests suggest that the ruling highlights the need for a formal, collective bargaining framework or unionized structure to handle player rights and governance, potentially reducing reliance on court decisions and creating a clearer, rule-based system for eligibility and compensation.
Rams, QB Ty Simpson had "secret meeting" before the draft (4/28 Hour 1)
Q: What was Ty Simpson's level of contact with the Rams during the pre-draft process?
Simpson indicated it was brief with scouts and his agent, with limited direct interaction, which conflicts with later claims of extensive pre-draft meetings.
Is the Lions Super Bowl window closed? + Chris Simms reveals 2026 NFL Draft DT Rankings (4/14 Hour 2)
Q: Who would you rather have, Baker Mayfield or Lamar Jackson?
They prefer Lamar Jackson for underpayment relative to market and his dynamic play style, but acknowledge both bring different strengths depending on system.
How will Ravens new coaching staff affect their draft plans? + Raiders GM on teams calling about #1 pick (4/16 Hour 1)
Q: Spytek was asked about teams calling to trade for the number one overall pick.
He confirms there have been a few calls and that while they're not planning to trade the pick, they're willing to listen if the offer is compelling and fits their evaluation, highlighting how teams use leverage and information at the top of the draft.
Dolphins HC Jeff Hafley on QB Malik Willis + Which QBs will take big jump in 2026? (4/8 Hour 2)
Q: Which quarterback did you identify as poised to make a big jump in 2026?
Caleb Williams was highlighted as a top candidate to make a significant leap, with the argument that a second-year growth arc, continued offensive system support, and strong coaching could elevate him into MVP contention.
