A camera is just a tool, but spend enough time with photographers, and you’ll see them go misty-eyed when they talk about their first camera or a small, fast prime that they had in their youth.
Prime Lenses is a series of interviews with photographers talking about their photography by way of three lenses that mean a lot to them. These can be interchangeable, attached to a camera, integrated into... more

I happened to stumble across the Prime Lenses podcast when looking for more photography inspiration and to connect with other photographers. It just so happened to be one of the first episodes, since then I have been a faithful weekly follower. I love hearing other photographer perspectives and lives within the medium. Iain has a wonderful way of drawing out insightful answers and leads the subjects down a great conversation. I’m very impressed with the guests who are featured too! They have suc... more
Iain’s non-pretentious attitude towards photography and photographers makes this an easy to listen podcast. With regular episodes and even bonus mid-week episodes, it’s current and very much relevant.
So many great stories! Iain is an amazing host. The gear freak in me would like to see a list of the 3 chosen lenses in the description of each podcast🥹
I have listened to quite a few of the episodes but I am sorry to write that I think there are better podcasts out there covering much the same ground.
