A camera is just a tool, but spend enough time with photographers, and you’ll see them go misty-eyed when they talk about their first camera or a small, fast prime that they had in their youth.
Prime Lenses is a series of interviews with photographers talking about their photography by way of three lenses that mean a lot to them. These can be interchangeable, attached to a camera, integrated into... more

Don’t ask a guest a question and include in that question what you think the answer is going to be from them because we are then left with something ... more
Such a great podcast. It is so good to hear interesting conversations with photographers. You can really tell that this is Iain’s passion. Thank you!
Great podcast about the wonderful world and his inspirators of photography. Iain is a storyteller himself.
I Love prime lenses - both the podcast and the actual lenses!
I’ve been listening for quite a while now and have worked my way through most of the episodes. Ian is a fantastic host with a genuine passion for all things photography. His enthusiasm really shines through and makes every episode engaging.
Thanks to this podcast, I’ve discovered new photographers, interesting cameras, and even some grassroots photo-sharing platforms I’d never heard of before.
Absolutely 10/10 – I can’t fault it. ... more
Undoubtedly the best photography podcast there is. What Iain has created here is truly addictive - the back catalogue is a treasure trove of meaningful discussion about real photograph, not the gear.
