Possibly the BEST music podcast out there. So many great genres are covered with some bangin’ tunes and great commentary along the way. Dan is such a great podcaster. Keep up the good work!
While not every episode is about a era I want to listen to, I love hearing Dan and guest chat about it.
Almost had to knock a star off due to Dan having an insane take on Night Drive by Jimmy Eat World while not even playing the best clip. Hopefully he finds some time to be introspective and realize he is a maniac.
I hear what you’re saying that you had a certain experience growing up with Evangelical Christians. But EC do not always equate with the massive Jesus People Movement Revival that covered the 60’s - 80’s & drew more people into Christ and Messianic Judiasm. Chuck Smith, Don Finto, Phil Keaggy, Keith Green, Barry McGuire, the 2nd Chaper of Acts, David Wilkerson, Coffee Houses, Billy Graham, Godspell, Jesus Chris... more
I love music but have almost no musical ability or technical knowledge. It’s great to listen to Dan + (insert guest) talk about music I love in a ways I couldn’t get to on my own.
I often analyze music and genres to my wife that doesn’t care about that. So it is fun to have this outlet to listen to Dan and his friends “nerd out” on the inescapable music that has been stuck in my head for the past 41 years!
