I love this podcast. I started by listening to reviews of albums I knew, and now am working my way through them from the start. Dave and Krister are hilarious, warm hosts guiding me through genres I know little about (grunge, hip hop), and holding my hand through horrors no one should have to endure alone (Cliff Richard, Right Said Fred). Listening to this makes my life better. Thanks gents!

Two hosts dissect every Number One album from the 1990s with sharp banter, deep dive analysis, and a strong sense of nostalgia. Episodes blend track-by-track discussion, cultural context, and personal anecdotes, often balancing infectious enthusiasm with playful scorn for messy productions or overexposed moments. The format often features guests and a running humor that keeps the conversation entertaining while still delivering detailed musical trivia and industry insight, making it appealing to listeners who want both levity and literacy about 90s pop culture.
Noteworthy traits include a consistent focus on Britpop, 90s chart toppers, and the broader media culture surrounding the era. The combination of candid opinions, well-researched no... more
