Canadian and Global Politics, Unspun.

Politics is messy, loud, and usually full of nonsense. Politics Is Broken takes all that chaos, filters it through a Canadian sense of humour, and hands it back in a way that actually makes sense. Hosted by Brittlestar (Stewart Reynolds) and Lisa B., it’s smart, funny, and just irreverent enough to make the news bearable.

  • The best addition to news consumption!

A great podcast to keep on the news rotation. While I miss Steve Boots (I hope he’s doing well), Brittlestar and Lisa have kept the podcast going well and something I look forward to every Sunday!

  • Smart, funny show - BUT…

This show has a great vibe for discussing Canadian politics - low key, in depth but funny and smart - the hosts are great together - HOWEVER - the latest episode on various gender issues in Alberta is shocking - clearly the hosts have not read The Cass Report, heard of Sex matters or read Trans by Helen Joyce - instead they just repeated misinformation which has been thoroughly debunked by reputable organizations. Really disappointing.

  • An Essential Canadian Podcast

The podcast modified its name slightly with the departure of Steve Boots, but the gab is still incredible even though it’s only Lisa and Brittlestar now. This podcast is a must-listen to help understand the state of Canada from the centre-left paradigm that most Canadians share.
