I’ve wanted to write this review for years, because Pleasing Terrors by Mike Brown truly deserves every bit of praise it gets.
The podcast is exceptionally well researched, beautifully written, and consistently fascinating. The standout for me is the outstanding series he did on Edgar Allan Poe — it was absolutely phenomenal. The depth of research and storytelling in that series alone sets a gold standard for historical, paranormal and literary podcasting.
